FIRE and ICE

Molto bella e deliziosa
Beautiful and delicious

Looking to kick up your summertime barbecue? Give your cook out an Italian flare and your guests will be blown away. When most people think of Italian cooking, pasta is usually the first thing that comes to mind. Often not realizing the wonderful goodness at the heart of Italian food - excellent cuts of GRILLED meat!

So light the FIRE and
Take your guests to Tuscany with grilled steaks marinated in herbs and spices like rosemary, oregano, garlic, red wine vinegar topped with sun-dried tomatoes.  Send them on a cruise to the island of Sardinia where they can enjoy fire roasted rock lobster or suckling pig. Round out their summer "vacation" in northern Italy with grilled ravioli filled with Gorgonzola or grilled polenta squares topped with butter cream sauce.

This event menu can be done within many different budget ranges.  It can be elegantly chic or comfortable down-home style.  Tight on cash, use a less expensive cut of steak.  Instead of lobster, go with shrimp or mussels.  Need to cater to families and kids, throw some Italian sausage on the grill instead of hot dogs. And there's always the proverbial pizza.  Pizza on the grill is great.  Just take a thin pizza crust, drizzle it with olive oil, add minimal toppings and grill for a few minutes.  The key is to be creative.

Cool them off with ICE
Italian ice, sorbets and gelato are the perfect delicacies to round out your Italian barbecue.  You can create an ice station by making your own flavor syrups.  Using juices or pureed fruits are a big hit and keep the sugar grinch away.  For an all-adult soiree think mojito, maguerita, lemoncello, amaretto and cream - these will definitely keep the party rocking well after the sun has gone down.

Hanno una grande festa!
Have a great party!
